OUR STORY

Hi, I’m Allyson — the hands, heart, and stitching behind Dust & Iron. My husband, Cameron, keeps things running behind the scenes, making this a true family business.

We live and work in the heart of remote Queensland, where red dirt, long days, and hard work are part of everyday life. Dust & Iron evolved from my first venture, Outback Sewing, which I founded in 2016 to create practical, handmade gear bags in Australia for those living in the country.

As our designs evolved and our range expanded, Dust & Iron was born — a name that reflects the rugged, reliable, and hardworking nature of outback life. While the name is new, our values haven’t changed: quality craftsmanship, durability, and gear built to last.

From heavy-duty PVC gear bags to custom work accessories, every piece is handmade in Australia with purpose — and a bit of outback grit stitched into every seam. We also offer personalisation, so your gear feels truly yours.

When you support Dust & Iron, you’re not just buying a product — you’re backing rural resilience, Australian-made quality, and a small business built with heart, hands, and a whole lot of dust.

Thanks for being here.
